Lying Cannot Be The Way Forward

It’s everywhere. Lies. In the media, in advertising, and it’s rampant on the internet. Lies and deception are all over it. False claims, false promises, no deliveries, no completion. And you let it.

So let’s just stop and think about this for a second.

If you are lied to, and you take ‘offence’ (the great escape of everyone under 45) how do you respond? How do you ‘fix’ it if at all possible.

I was reflecting on how many times I have been lied to, not given a chance, forced to pay for services not supplied, forced to pay even though I have given so much during my life so far — I have yet to be given a break.

So where is the karma?

What goes around comes around. I believe that. But there has come a point for me today, that I am truly questioning this belief. How is it that I continue to do the right thing every fucking time, only to be done wrong by? How many more punches can I take?

It’s eat or be eaten at the moment. The pressure to get your piece of the pie is enormous. I get it. We all want everything. But how is it that some people lie and cheat their way to it, we watch it amazed, but never actually see them fall over?

It really seems to me at the moment that the liars and cheaters are winning. It’s up to each and everyone one of us to call them out on it when we see it. Ring that bell. Blow that whistle. Don’t let them win. But don’t expect to win because you have made the bad man lose. Karma is not working like that for me right now, so I guess it doesn’t work that way at all.

Just do the right thing OK. Somebody has to and I’m tired of feeling alone.

Carry On.
